A Nigerian activist, 21, says he has less than 15 years to stay on earth—and his reasoning is that life is boring.
Identified as Meziem Janet, the activist says people should be allowed to commit suicide when they want, claiming that the major reason many forbid suicide is due to their selfishness.
He wrote on Twitter;
“I’ll die at 30-35. I am currently 21. Would actually be 21 by Saturday. Safe to say I roughly have 9-14 more years to live. We don’t talk about death as often as we should. Long life would be boring. Meh.
People should be able to commit suicide whenever they want to. I think it’s mostly selfishness that make us wanna stop someone from committing suicide. And by suicide, I am referring to people who are battling existential crisis or the illness that is life. That’s why we tell them “Think about how you’d hurt me or your family or loved ones
We make their reason to live about us because we think that we are enough reason for them to live. Because we are not prepared to mourn someone. Because we don’t want to feel hurt. Because we’re selfish.
It was never about them. It was always about us. Fvcking selfish morons.
People should be able to commit suicide whenever they want to. They’re not necessarily dying. @deadmorley said “Death is not finite” and I agree. They’re not dead dead. They only exited life.”
