A certain woman reported to be in her 20s was found dead close to a garage in Johannesburg. The deceased was found in a red bag on the Golden Highway on a Sunday afternoon.
Police spokesperson Capt Kay Makhubele said commuters found the woman’s body around 1pm on the highway, next to the BP garage in Freedom Park.
“Upon inspection of the decomposed corpse, officers noticed the victim had been wearing a straight weave and blue denim jeans. Her hands and legs were tied with rope from behind. She had no visible wounds,” Makhubele said.
The national police commissioner Gen Khehla John Sitole tagged the recent murder of women across the country as ”brutal and horrific.”
However, there has been a surge of women murder recorded in the past few months, and most South Africans have frowned against it.
