Black Lives Matter activist, Shaun King has shared shocking new information he allegedly received about Ahmaud Arbery, who was killed by two white men back in February.
25-year-old Ahmaud Arbery was killed in a residential street just outside the port city of Brunswick in Georgia by Gregory McMichael, 64, alongside his son Travis McMichael, 34.
The father and son have been arrested and charged with murder in connection with the killing of Ahmaud Arbery.
But Shaun King is now claiming that Arbery’s killing was racially motivated.
In a series of tweets, the co-founder of Real Justice PAC and Black Lives Matter movement alleged that resident of Satilla Shores neighborhood where the 25-year-old jogger was murdered, told him that they had a ‘private Facebook group and several group texts that functioned like an armed mob’
He said the neighbors were frantically calling and texting each other to confront Ahmaud, who Gregory and his son said they suspected he was a burglar before they killed him.
In another tweet, he alleged that classmates of Travis McMichael, who shot and killed the black jogger, said ‘he was the single most racist man they ever knew.’
He wrote: ‘BREAKING: Residents of Satilla Shores neighborhood where Ahmaud Arbery was murdered have told me they had a private Facebook group & several group texts that functioned like an armed mob. Says neighbors were all frantically calling/texting each other to confront Ahmaud.
BREAKING: Classmates of Travis McMichael, who shot and killed Ahmaud Arbery, said he was the single most racist man they ever knew. Said it was obsessive. Said the second they learned he killed Ahmaud that not a single person who knew him was shocked. A lifelong open bigot.’
Joyette M. Holmes, a black prosecutor, who is from Cobb County in the Atlanta metropolitan area, where she is the first African-American to serve as district attorney has been appointed as lead prosecutor in Ahmaud Arbery Case.
