Do you know what hurts the most…breakup with your partner? No! It’s when you break up with your best friend!
Nothing can hurt more because best friends have a different space in your heart that no one can really take up.
They leave behind a void that just can’t be filled. It’s a big, tough deal.
But, here are some things you can do to get over this painful ordeal and to move on from your breakup with your best friend.
1. Acceptance
The most painful part of it all is to accept that this has happened. You are no longer friends with BFF. Accept that this feeling is valid because losing a best friend can be traumatizing for some. Someone you talked to for endless hours is no longer there with you. Accept it and move on.
2. Don’t think about old times
Looking back at the old text messages, pictures and memories is only going to make the entire process more difficult. You won’t be able to move on at all. But, don’t make it seem like you want to erase them from your memory.
3. Care for yourself
Try on some new skincare routine or exercise and feel fresh. Taking care of yourself will considerably improve your mood and make you feel better. Even if you don’t feel like getting out of bed, force yourself and do all the things you didn’t want to do at first. Get a good enough massage to relax your mind!
4. Connect with others
In all honesty, no one can fill the space your best friend had. But after some time, there will be someone who will regain your trust and be there for you no matter what. That person will slowly become your best friend again, giving you all the joys of having someone so close to you. Try going out with your friends and spend time with them as much as possible.
5. Keep a check on yourself
Your emotional health may take a turn for the worse when your best friend leaves all of a sudden. At this time, you feel heartbroken, anxious and stressed. And so, you should immediately seek help from your close ones who can offer you all the support you need.
