September has been pretty miserable so far but didn’t give up hope just yet because the weather is set to take a turn for the better.
Warm and bright weather is expected across England and Wales from Wednesday with temperatures to reach 26C or 27C in the south east.
But the return to summer wont just be reserved to London and the home counties with Newcastle hitting 23C and Scotland also in the low 20s.
The average temperature in September is 16.5C in the UK and 17.9C for England.
Nicola Maxey of the Met Office said: ‘Certainly for anyone in the south it’s going to feel quite muggy and humid with temperatures, even further north, reaching those low 20s.’
But before we get too far ahead ourselves, be warned a much more unsettled picture is expected this weekend.
Rain and gales will hit the west and north west, while temperatures across the UK will be much cooler.
