Manchester City 3 – West Ham 1
Manchester City made it nine points from nine on Sunday with a 3-1 victory over West Ham at The Etihad.
Goals in the first half from Raheem Sterling and Fernandinho appeared to signal an easy win for Pep Guardiola’s side.
But, the flood gates never really truly opened and West Ham came back into the match in the second half.
Michail Antonio pulled a goal back and West Ham were never truly out of it until Raheem Sterling made it 3-1 with his second of the game just before the final whistle.
Will Sergio Aguero miss the Manchester derby?
The big talking point of the match, which could last for two weeks now (!), due to the international break, is Sergio Aguero’s seemingly clear elbow on West Ham defender Winston Reid.
Referee Andre Marriner missed the incident completely which is pretty bad news for the Argentine as it could now very likely go to an FA panel to decide if Aguero is banned for any further games.
Manchester City’s next game is at Manchester United as soon as the international break is over.
Unsurprisingly, many Manchester United fans were calling for Aguero to be banned, see Tweets below…

3 times in the last year I've seen dirty play by Aguero ignored. Does he get a foul free special pass quota for playing in Premier league?

The Manchester- derby will be without Aguero. That elbow against Reid will give him a suspension- 100%
