Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has handed Watford forward Isaac Success his first invitation to the Nigeria senior national team ahead of next month’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying game against Zambia’s Chipolopolo in Ndola.
Rohr also recalled the trio of Kenneth Omeruo, Anderson Esiti and Alex Iwobi for the clash.
He also named injured Moses Simon after receiving assurance from the Gent star.
Chelsea’s Mikel Obi and Victor Moses, assistant skipper Ahmed Musa, goalkeeper Carl Ikeme, defender Elderson Echiejile, midfielder Ogenyi Onazi and Manchester City forward Kelechi Iheanacho are other notable names in 23-man squad.
Rohr according to the release excused Watford FC forward Odion Ighalo, who will attend his father’s burial in Nigeria on the eve of the match in Ndola.
All invited players are expected to start arriving in Abuja as from Sunday, 2 October.
