Facebook has released its new Virtual Reality software on Thursday which places users into a virtual world as an avatarand allows them to interact with each other. Mark Zuckerberg, the founder of Facebook, showed the new software at the Oculus Connect conference in San Francisco.
The new software allows people to customize their avatars, share videos and take webcam calls from non-VR particiP@nts.
Facebook is working to develop third party VR software as well as its own projects, Zuckerberg said at the conference.
Zuckerberg took audience members to his home to check on his pet dog Beast and call his wife Priscilla Chan by bringing up a virtual phone screen that appeared in his field of vision.
