YG performed at Coachella last night and he used the opportunity to debut a 6ix9ine diss track called “Stop Snitching” and announce the release date for his fourth studio album.
He addressed the crowd about his LP saying:
“So I had an album coming out April 12th. It was supposed to come out on Friday, but I got some fu*ked up news that my ni**a had passed on me and shit, so it’s like I didn’t even know how to motherfu*kin walk and talk. I couldn’t get out of bed. I was in bed everyday until 4PM you know what I’m saying. My life was fu*ked up and is still fu*ked up. The only reason I’m up here is because I’ve been drinking a whole lot of tequila. You know what I’m saying, but my ni**a gone and I have to deal with this shit, so I decided to push my album back to May 3rd god dammit. You know what I’m saying?”
The West Coast rapper didn’t stop there as he also took shots at 6ix9ine on “Stop Snitching.” The track references Tekashi’s ongoing RICO case with various Tr3yway members and his suspicious plea deal. Rumors that the DUMMY BOY artist will be free as soon as the end of this year have been circulating.
YG brought out 2 Chainz and Big Sean for a performance of “Big Bank,” Tyga for “Taste,” and remembered the life of Nipsey Hussle.
In related news YG’s Coachella afterparty was shut down by police after shots were fired outside the venue.
Watch all the action below and expect “Stop Snitching” later this week. YG’s new album will drop May 3rd.
