Sarkodie’s ‘Can’t Let You Go’ gains 4.1m views in 3months
Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie’s music video for ‘can’t Let You Go’, a collaboration with Young Ghanaian superstar in the making King Promise, exceeded 4,132,676 million views on Sunday, 9th December 2018.
The most decorated Artist and one of the biggest Ghanaian hip-hop gurus, Sarkodie (real name Michael Owusu Addo), achieved a number often a barrier for many local artists on YouTube with the official music video for his song ‘Can’t let you go’, surpassing 4.1 million views on the platform in 3 months.
Released on 11 August 2018 and was dedicated to his wife, Tracy Awurama Addo. The video was directed by GYO (Phamous Films) shows both their traditional wedding and the white wedding, and the mystique atmosphere. It was produced by BlaqJerzee.
Sarkodie has already achieved this milestone with other music videos.
The music video for ‘Adonai’ featuring Castro has already reached 60M views, ‘Pain killer’ featuring Runtown has hit already 12M views, and ‘gboza’ has gained 2.1m views.
Sarkodie is signed to his own independent label and media company, Sarkcess Music.
