The Lagos State Police Public Relation Officer, Bala Elkana, has faulted Edward Ijah, the sidekick of popular musician Davido, for handcuffing and parading the two ladies (Helen & Susan) who accused Davido of impregnating one of them.
They have been arrested despite apologizing to the singer. Davido’s hype man known as Special Spesh posted the video on Instagram, where Helen and Susan were handcuffed while sitting on a chair in the living room.
Spesh could be heard telling one of the ladies to raise her head or she would be slapped in the face. Davido also posted a smiley laughing over the treatment meted out to the ladies.
Bala said it is wrong and the ladies have the right to sue Davido, as a private citizen has no right under the law to parade a suspect.
He added that Davido can not declare the ladies guilty as only a competent court of jurisdiction can produce a person guilty of crime.
From what we could gather so far, the truth of the matter is not revealed yet… Some people believed it was staged while some are reigning insults and criticizing Davido for the illegal arrest and abuse of wealth.
