Sho Madjozi made the whole of Mzansi proud after bringing the BET win home as the Best New International Act.
The EFF political party took to social media to praise the musician’s invention of a music genre which incorporates a local Tsonga sound to hip-hop, Kwaito and Afro-pop. They also called the singer an artistic genius who embodies “artistic excellence”.
In a statement released on Twitter, the EFF said: “Through her music and achievements, Madjozi inspires hope that artistic excellence can create a pathway out of the depressing situation of drug abuse prevalent among the youth.”
