Drake has reportedly settled his lawsuit with Lace—legal name Laquana Morris, the lady who took to social media to make ‘false pregnancy claims’.
Laquana Morris who claimed that Drake had impregnated her and then completely ignored her, wrote in a now deleted Instagram post;
“So I guess still in this era this is the new thing that after you tell a dude you pregnant they stop answering they phone […] I feel so stupid … I never told this man ‘No.’ I did everything he told me to do … ((NEVER)) asked him for a dime … But don’t worry ima make sure I make a field day out of your f**king a**.”
She also told host Jazzie Belle that she was carrying Drake’s child:
“I know who I sleep with unprotected, period,” she said. “So it’s 100 percent sure. He knows it.”
However after the lady began demanding that Drake pays her for the baby, the rapper’s legal team requested a paternity test which she refused. This raised doubts about her claims. However she subsequently filed a police report against Drake, alleging he had raped and imprisoned her.
The lady who threatened to go public with her sexual assault claims if he didn’t give her money, was sued by Drake who accused her of civil extortion, defamation, and fraud. TMZ has however now gathered that Drake has settled the lawsuit, and part of the agreement include Lace prohibited from making “statements alleging or insinuating” Drake raped her, impregnated her, and/or abandoned her. She also can’t use a third party to make any disparaging comments about him.
“Drake and his team are satisfied with this outcome,” his attorney, Larry Stein, told the outlet, “and while Drake appreciates the support he has received, he asks that his fans and the media allow both parties to move on with their lives.”
