Celebrated Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz’s father Mzee Abdul Juma has finally shared his views on Harmonize’s exit from Wasafic Classic Baby record label.
Mzee Juma has said Harmonize is mature enough to make his own decisions.
It is already a confirmed deal that Harmonize is set to leave WCB Wasafi, a record label that enjoys huge followers in Kenya and East Africa.
Babu Tale, one of the managers at the record label recently said the singer had handed in his resignation letter and they were working towards releasing him.
Mzee Juma who spoke with Yo Fave in an interview shared on YouTube on September 2 said he received the news about Harmonize ditching Diamond’s label with surprise.
He said Harmonize was introduced to the music industry by Diamond and did not expect them to part ways.
Mzee Juma added that so long as the ‘Kwangwaru’ hitmaker has left the label in good faith, then it is not a bad thing, it is part of growth.
“Harmonize is a grown man, he looked for Diamond when he wanted to make a life, thereafter he has grown, if one leaves a place that means the person has advanced in life, he understands himself (Harmonize sio mtoto, alikuja kwa Chibu kuomba kimaisha lakini baada ya kujikuta kakomaa, ukiona mtu anatoka sehemu ujue kashakoma tayari, anajielewa),” said Mzee Juma.
Juma believes that Harmonize will still make good music if even after leaving WCB.
He, however, advised the singer not to paint the record label in bad faith or abuse other artistes.
