Cassper Nyovest was recently all defensive of the Motswako genre of music, claiming it’s not dead.
The rapper featured on a song by Khuli Chana which will be dropping on Friday and it’s being all hype about the song.
Interestingly, a fan advised Cassper Fill Up 2019 saying:
“I JUST WISH THIS YEAR #FILLUP COULD BE STRICTLY HIPHOP WHEREBY WE CAN HAVE TALKS CYPHERS AND ANOTHER STAGE FOR UNKNOWN RAPPERS TO GET A SHOT MAYBE OUT DO ALL FILLUPS NOW LET’S MAKE IT A REASON TO KEEP GOING NO LONGER ABOUT @casspernyovest.”
Mufasa replied the fan saying his fans ain’t hip hop concentrated but from all walks of life.
However, Cassper feels he is being exiled out of hip hop and referred to as “the other guy”.
Interestingly, AKA refers to Cassper as the “other guy” most times on Twitter as they’ve been beefing for years and it’s also going to save AKA mentioning his name.
Nah, my fans are not hip hop fans. It's people from all walks of life. I have to cater for my market. Besides that, Hip Hop don't see me as their guy anyway. Im the other guy & im enjoying just bejng myself without these unwritten SA hip hop rules. I just wanna be Nje & have fun. https://t.co/57p6GJV1Qu
