Burna Boy is once again in the limelight as he is featured in the NewYorker Magazine. This is shortly after he was featured on Times Square Billboard, New York for the second time. The singer was featured alongside artistes like Ofertório, Chris Cohen, Alex Ferreira e.t.c
The singer took to his Instagram page to share his latest achievement. The article exuberantly praised the singer’s 2018 album “Outside” and his recent EP “Steel & Copper,” with American production and DJ duo DJDS.
The article wrote “The Nigerian artist Burna Boy seems to absorb the sun and dispense it through an arresting hybrid that includes traditional and modern West African styles, hip-hop, and R. & B., which he has deemed Afro-fusion. His album “Outside,” from last year, is a euphoric celebration of homegrown and diasporic sounds, but a recent EP, “Steel & Copper,” with the electronic production duo DJDS, is a concise showcase of his multitudes: his warm, earthy tones applied to menacing trap rap and exuberant Afro-pop create a sound that, even in its darkest moments, sounds like bottled joy.”
Burna Boy is currently on his “African Giant Tour” which has seen performances in Zambia, Maryland, USA, Chicago USA and others.
