Darrell Brooks Biography
A jury found Darrell Brooks Jr. liable for his conduct during a 2021 Christmas parade. This led to six deaths and hundreds of injuries. The jury also found him guilty of numerous felony charges.
Tuesday saw two hours of deliberation, followed by a second meeting on Wednesday morning.
Darrell Brooks Verdict
Brooks was found guilty of the 76 charges against him in the attack. The jury took just over three hours. Six counts of first-degree intentional murder were included in the accusations. Each of these charges carries a mandatory life sentence.
Brooks looked down as the verdict was read. He hid his face in his hands and rubbed his forehead.
Brooks’ red Ford Blazer SUV, the Ford Blazer, ripped through the Christmas parade trial in 2021. It caused at least six deaths and at least 61 injuries. The victims were rescued by the authorities along with other citizens. They also started to search for the driver.
Before the verdict announcement, people wore blue Waukesha Strength sweatshirts. They gathered outside of the courtroom with their heads down, and their prayers unspoken.

Jennifer Dorow, Circuit Judge in Waukesha County has set Monday for a hearing to decide when the sentencing will take place. She has also stated that she will allow victims to submit impact statements via Zoom.
