SAUL MURRY was lured into a social media honeytrap that proved fatal.
His Instagram photos of Rolexes drew the attention of Surpreet Dhillon and Temidayo Awe, who then carried out a chilling attack.
Who was Saul Murray?
Saul Murray was a 33-year-old man from Luton. His social media platforms revealed that he enjoyed being seen with high-end fashion brands.
These posts, however, caught the interest of two girls who were to set a honeytrap for the father-of-six.
Who are Surpreet Dhillon and Temidayo Awe?
Surpreet Dhillon and Temidayo Awe targeted Murray after seeing photos of his Rolex watches posted to Instagram.
Dhillon and Murray messaged each other on the platform before exchanging phone numbers.
The girls then made plans to pay him a visit at his home in Luton. The 36-year-old devised the scheme with friends after seeing Murray’s posts flaunting his apparent wealth and high-end watches.
Awe, a 21-year-old from Gillingham, accompanied Dhillon to Murray’s house.
What happened to Saul Murray?
Murray invited the two women to his Luton home on the evening of February 26, 2022. The women were caught on CCTV entering the property.
Before Dhillon put the date rape drug GHB in Murray’s drink, they shared a brandy and engaged in sexual activities. According to reports, the levels of the drug used were insufficient to knock out Murray, so Awe left the property to find their other two accomplices.
Two men were seen entering the property about 20 minutes later, before the two women were seen leaving together. They were followed closely by two men 19 seconds later. One of the people was clearly seen brandishing a knife.
Murray was found in his flat the following day having died as a result of heavy bleeding from a stab wound which had pierced an artery. The two unidentified men were tracked down by police using GPS information from a car they were seen fleeing in.
The murderer of Murray was found due to a distinctive £1,300 designer coat he was spotted wearing in a takeaway food shop days earlier.
