Photos of Bob Saget’s hotel room where he died released by police
Photos of Bob Saget’s hotel room where he was found dead set the scene for what may have happened.
On Tuesday, Orlando, Fla., authorities released images of the Ritz-Carlton suite the late comic had been staying in – and give a look at the padded headboard that may have caused Saget’s fatal head injury.
The bathroom photos show a towel in the tub and toiletries on the counter, so it’s likely he used the water closet before going to bed.
Police believe he may have hit his head on the bed’s headboard sometime after 2 a.m. and had gone to sleep, thinking nothing of it.
Saget died on Jan. 9 and the chief medical examiner concluded a few weeks later that he died from “the result of blunt head trauma.”
“The authorities have determined that Bob passed from head trauma. They have concluded that he accidentally hit the back of his head on something, thought nothing of it and went to sleep,” the family said in a subsequent statement.

“No drugs or alcohol were involved.”
The autopsy, later obtained by Page Six, also revealed that Saget, who died at age 65, had several skull fractures, along with abrasions to his scalp and some bleeding and contusions to his brain.
“It is most probable that the decedent suffered an unwitnessed fall backwards and struck the posterior aspect of his head,” the report stated, adding, “The manner of death is accident.”
Earlier this month, a judge permanently blocked the release of Saget’s autopsy records after his widow, Kelly Rizzo, filed a lawsuit seeking to bar the release of records pertaining to the death investigation from the Orange County Sheriff’s Office and the local medical examiner’s office.
The “Fuller House” alum is survived by Rizzo and three daughters from a previous marriage: Aubrey Saget, Lara Melanie Saget and Jennifer Belle Saget.

Sheriff office confirms the death as accidental
The Orange County Sheriff Report confirmed all these findings on the final report of Bob Saget’s death, this is what they wrote: “Yesterday, a court order was entered prohibiting the release of certain materials gathered during the course of OCSO’s investigation into the death of Bob Saget. The Orange County Sheriff’s Office will comply with the order, while remaining committed to transparency and following the law regarding access to public records. No evidence of a struggle, any type of foul play, or that anyone else was in the room at any time during his stay. Mr. Saget was lying on his back on the right side of the bed, partially covered by the sheet and bedspread, with his left arm lying loosely across his torso and his right arm by his side. The sheets, bedspread, and pillowcases on the bed were white and there were no signs of blood or bodily fluids on them or anywhere else in the suite. No one entered or left his room, until security entered that afternoon at the request of his family.”
