High School Musical: The Musical will be a ten-episode series that takes  “a meta, docu-style approach to the franchise.” The franchise was highly popular and was about a group of friends/students at East Side High who would randomly burst into singing and choreographed dance numbers. Hey, that screams Disney, doesn’t it?

As for the new show, Disney has said each show will feature a “classic” song from the original movies plus a brand new song. Oscar and Golden Globe-nominated screenwriter and former Broadway performer Tim Federle (Ferdinand) is executive producer with Oliver Goldstick (Pretty Little Liars).

Monster’s Inc. TV Show

We do not know much about this show beyond that it takes place in the world of Monster’s Inc. By that description, I take it to be while actually working at the company but before the events of the movie.

Not a bad time to focus on. Now it’s possible it could also be set after it becomes the laugh factory but then I would assume we’d get no Randal. I want Randal.

Some of the original Mighty Ducks creators are coming back to help turn the 1990s movie franchise into a Disney Plus TV series. ScreenwriterSteven Brill and original producer Jordan Kerner are rumoured to be working on this project.
