1. Stomach woes
Dealing with stomach troubles like indigestion or acidity? Just try this remedy to improve your gut health. Take 1 garlic clove and mince it. Place the minced garlic on a tablespoon and drizzle half a teaspoon of honey on it. Consume this mixture on an empty stomach in the morning and chew on it properly. You can drink a sip of water on it but not more than that.
2. Combats acne
Dealing with tough acne that refuses to vanish? Just cut a clove into half and rub it on the affected area. Garlic has anti-inflammatory properties that reduce the pain of acne and the presence of allicin in garlic kills the bacteria that clog up your skin pores and causes breakouts.
3. Cough remedy
Suffering from a cold, cough or an itchy throat, garlic is here to treat you. Just mince some garlic cloves and boil them with one cup of water. Let the mixture simmer for 5 minutes. Strain the tea, add some honey if needed and drink warm. The cough or cold will subside in no time with this home remedy.
4. Dandruff treatment
Tired of dandruff that just makes your scalp super itchy? Try this garlic remedy to treat it right away. Mince some garlic cloves, add some honey to it and mix well. Apply this mixture directly on the scalp and massage gently. Leave it on for 15 minutes and then wash off with shampoo.
5. Ward off mosquitoes
Garlic is also said to repel mosquitos with its smell. To make this DIY remedy, mince 6-8 garlic cloves and boil them with some water. Let the mixture simmer for 5-10 minutes. Let the water cool down, strain and pour into a spray bottle. Spray this solution all around the house and especially in dark corners to keep mosquitos at bay.
6. Removes splinters
Dealing with a splinter is quite painful and can lead to infection if it is not removed timely. A splinter can be a sliver of wood or glass that penetrates the skin and because of its small size, it is difficult to remove it. In order to get rid of a splinter, cut garlic into half and bandage the clove on the affected area with a bandage. The antibacterial properties of garlic will naturally remove the splinter.
