Eastern Cape born and bred Zozibini Tunzi was crowned the 61st Miss South Africa 2019 on Friday evening, 9th of August.
The event took place at the Times Square Arena, Menlyn Maine, in Pretoria, where thousands of members of the public and celebrities gathered to witness the event.
Zozibini took over the crown from last year’s winner Tamaryn Green and also, beat 15 other dazzling young women from across the country to scoop the prestigious crown.
Miss SA 2019 made it to the top two and won over Sasha-Lee Olivier.
Zozibini was totally loved by her fans and has even earned more fans.
Interestingly, she stressed the importance of education while facing the judges.
“I am firm believer in education, and I would advise that they push education. We might not be able to do much for elders, but we can do so much for children by starting them early.”
