Erica Mena’s ex-boyfriend, Cliff Dixon, was shot and killed while he was celebrating his birthday at an Atlanta club early this morning.
According to TMZ, Cliff Dixon was shot when a gunman opened fire in front of the club. The 32-year-old was then rushed to Grady Memorial Hospital where he was pronounced dead, sources reveal.
The Chamblee Police Department in Georgia released an official statement, which read:
“The Chamblee Police Department is investigating a homicide that occurred this morning at 0117 a.m. at the SL Lounge at 4186 Buford Hwy. The victim, 32-year-old Clifford Dixon, had just arrived at the location and was standing in the parking lot when the offender shot him multiple times. First responders administered aid, and the victim was transported to Grady Hospital where medical staff advised that he had succumbed to his injuries. The offender fled the scene on foot. Mena and Dixon dated for about 10 months before they called it quits late in 2018.
The two, who had a rocky relationship, were both arrested in October 2018, after they got into an altercation at her home in Georgia, which was first reported by TMZ.
