IPOB, MASSOB write Donald Trump
- Updated: November 11, 2016
Leader of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, and Director Radio Biafra, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu, has written the United States of America’s President-elect, Mr. Donald Trump, over his victory, urging him to bring positive changes in the affairs of humanity.
Also, the leader of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, Mr. Uchenna Madu, wrote Mr. Trump, promising that his group will work with him for total breakthrough in the political, economical, cultural and religious emancipation of the people of Africa.
Mr. Kanu, in a letter he personally signed, entitled Nnamdi Kanu writes from Prison to congratulate Trump, made available to Vanguard through IPOB’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Mr. Emma Powerful, said: “Trump’s victory was well deserved and shows that hard work and determination against all odds pay.
“Dear Mr. President-elect, it is with great joy that I, Nnamdi Kanu, received the news of your victory as the 45th President of the United States of America. On behalf of the Indigenous People of Biafra, accept my warmest congratulations.
“Mr. President-elect, the American people have given you their mandate and trust, not only to make America great again, but also to bring positive changes in the affairs of humanity.
“Your victory has placed a historic and moral burden upon you to liberate enslaved nations in Africa, trapped in artificially-created boundaries designed to reinforce colonial domination and subjugation.
“Self-determination is a sacred right of all people as demonstrated by the good people of United Kingdom, when they opted out of the European Union. It is imperative to draw historical parallels between your victory and that of the great Dwight Eisenhower, a fellow Republican, who was instrumental in the dismantling of European colonialism in Africa.”
Also yesterday, leader of Biafra Independence Movement, BIM, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, congratulated Mr. Trump.
Uwazuruike, whose congratulatory message was contained in his letter to the US Embassy in Lagos and made available to newsmen in Onitsha, Anambra State, by the Director of Information, BIM/MASSOB, Mazi Chris Mocha, reminded the US President-elect that MASSOB, which was transformed into BIM and currently in the struggle for the independence of Biafra, is still looking up to America for emancipation.
According to Uwazuruike, “I write to congratulate Mr. Donald Trump and the government and people of the United States on their successful election and that it is no longer news that the oppressed people in Nigeria want her independence.”
Uwazuruike further reminded Trump of the enormous task ahead of him as he continues in US efforts to make the free world devoid of terrorism and a better place to live.
